Indoor Facilities
The existing main field station is a remodeled 18th century farm house. This field house has a fully equipped modern kitchen, showers, and a 20-person enclosed porch/wet lab. Our daytime use capacity for the facility is 35 people. Overnight accommodations include four bedrooms (14 beds) and camping space.

Outdoor Facilities
The Grove Farm Site also contains the Maple Sugaring Building and maintenance garage. Access to the Juniata College Harbor is through the Grove Farm Site. The grounds are equipped with picnic tables, fire circles and hiking trails. Mist nets for bird banding are also available.

A Rich History
The Grove Farm Site has a rich history that began in the 18th Century. After changing hands several times, and finally falling into the hands of the Army Corps. of Engineers in the early 1970s, Dr. Robert Fisher secured the site for use by Juniata College. For an in depth history of the Grove Farm Site click the History button below to read a historical essay on the Grove Farm.
