The Environmental Field Semester is an immersion experience that will involve up to 14 students living and taking courses completely at the station. The program will include coursework on forestry,Geographical Information Systems, local history, ecology and economics, environmental literature and sociology. Courses will be taught in block schedules to take advantage of field sites, allowing this experience to be a true immersion in the North Appalachians.
